General tips

Buy Seasonal Food : Most food, from fruit to fish, has a season -a time when it is abundant and at its best. Knowledge about food's seasons was once essential to survival and became culturally ingrained over the centuries. Today, we have all but lost this accumulated wisdom, but it still matters! Buy local and seasonal to guarantee the best quality food you can get.

Kitchen Tip : Using a pressure cooker saves up to two-thirds of the cooking time, saves energy, and preserves the goodness in your food.

The low calorie diet

Put simply, a low calorie weight loss regime says that if you are going to lose weight, the most important step is to eat fewer calories than you need for exercise.

The calorie defined?
A calorie is a unit of measurement for energy. A food calorie is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius. If something has more calories, then it will provide your body with more energy to use when your body digests it.

Examples of low calorie foods include brussels sprouts, cabbage, apricots, beef based meals, and bamboo shoots.
