Beef advice

Beef is much more popular in the North america than anyplace else on the planet. If one were to add up the steaks and burgers cooked in the whole world, you may well be amazed to find that the Usa eats virtually a quarter of the beef.

When buying beef steak you are better off visiting a proper butcher rather than a generic food store. A butcher should stock more cuts than the generic grocery store, he will be more proud of the quality of his meat, will probably have hung it correctly, and he will usually be proud to give you tips on the best way to prepare it.

Safety in the kitchen

Keep the oven door shut.
If a deep fat frying pan catches fire turn off the heat if it's safe to do so - but never lean over the pan to the controls.
