In simple terms, a low calorie weight loss regime says that in order to become thinner, it is important to eat fewer calories than you need.

The calorie defined?
The calorie is a unit for measuring food's ability to produce heat and energy. A 'calorie' is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree centigrade at atmospheric pressure. If a food type has more calories, then it will will give you more energy to use when your body digests it.

Low-cal food types include green beans, mushrooms, melon, steaks, burgers and chilis, and white eggs.

12 c Shredded cabbage (1 med.)

1 Green pepper, chopped

1 md Red onion, chopped

2 md Carrots, shredded

1 c Sugar

----------------------------------DRESSING---------------------------------- 2 ts Sugar

1 ts Dry mustard

1 ts Celery seed

1 ts Salt

1 c Vinegar

3/4 c Vegetable oil

In a large bowl, combine first four ingredients. Sprinkle with sugar; set aside. In a saucepan, combine dressing ingredients; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and pour over vegetables, stirring to cover evenly. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Stir well before serving.
