Losing weight
The Glycaemic Index Diet
The glycaemic index weight loss program is based on the gi index, a chart showing food types and a score representing the rapidity with which the energy in the food gets transformed to glucose in your bloodstream. The believe is that slow acting foods (ie with a low Gi score), will keep you feeling full for longer and help to consume less food without feeling hungry.
It's also especially beneficial for diabetics, as the low GI foods are useful in controlling surges in blood glucose levels.
