The low-cal diet

In simple terms, the low calorie diet says that if you want to lose weight, the most important step is to consume fewer calories than you actually use.

So what is a calorie?
A calorie is a unit of measurement for energy. A 'calorie' is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius. If a food type has higher calories, then it will provide your body with more energy to use when it is eaten.

Low-cal food types include bok choy, tomato, grapefruit, burgers and steaks, and eggs.

2 1/4 c All-purpose flour

1 t Baking soda

1/2 t Salt

1 c Softened butter (2 sticks)

1 t Vanilla extract

2 Eggs

1 c Coarsely chopped nuts,option

12 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips

? 3/4 c Firmly packed brown sugar 3/4 c Granulated sugar Mix flour,baking soda and salt;set aside.Beat butter,sugars,vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy.Blend in flour mixture.Stir in nuts and chips. Drop by teaspoon,2" apart onto ungreased baking sheets.Bake @ 375 degrees for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
