Weight loss

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a weight loss regime first devised by Barry Sears in a number of books and publications. The Zone diet is not particularly a weight loss diet, nevertheless many zone diet fans claim that they really manage to lose a few pounds when following it.
The main scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you were to control the amount of two key hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then your body releases eicosanoids which puts your body in a balanced state that is far more healthful than other diets, which is known as the zone.
Sears alleges that if you get into this 'zone', your body is working at its most efficient and, because of this, does not need to build up stores of fat.
The most interesting procedure of the zone diet is to maintain the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure you get increased levels of Omega 3 fish oils.
