Weight loss

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a diet system primarily advocated by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet isn’t specifically a fat reduction diet, nevertheless many people find that they seem to lose weight by following this system.
The science claimed for the Zone Diet is that if one were to control the secretion of two important hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, as a result puts the body in a state of balance that is far more wholesome than usual, this is referred to as 'the zone'.
Sears holds the theory that when your body is in this 'zone' it is much more efficient and, as a result, doesn't need to build up stores of fat.
The key process of the diet is to monitor and control the exact ratio of carbs to proteins, and to ensure you get plenty of Omega 3 and omega 6.
