The gi index weight loss program is reliant on the gi index, a list showing foods and a score representing the speed with which the energy of the food gets converted to sugar in your system. The believe is that slow release types of food (ie those food types with a low Glycaemic score), will keep you feeling full for longer and mean that you can take in fewer food without feeling you are missing out.
It is also extremely effective for diabetes sufferers, as the low GI foods are useful in reducing increases in blood glucose levels.

1/2 Stick oleo

1/4 c Onion

1/4 c Flour

2 c Milk

1/2 Stick oleo

1 sm Jar cheese whiz

2 c Mashed potatoes

Salt and pepper to taste

Simmer 1/2 stick oleo and onion until done the way you want. Sprinkle flour to thicken. Add milk, 1/2 stick oleo, cheese, potatoes, salt and pepper. Heat until cheese melts, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
